Ubuntu Digital Dialogue

The first in a series of “digital dialogues,” Still Point Design Studio worked with the Mind & Life Institute to create a multi-media user experience of the Mind & Life Dialogues with the Dalai Lama. These dialogues bring together leading neuroscientists, educators, researchers, psychologists, and others in the humanities to dialogue with His Holiness the Dalai Lama about the intersection of science and contemplative practice. In the past, the dialogues would later be offered to the public in printed book format, however there was a desire to create a web experience that would have global reach, especially since the Ubuntu Digital Dialogue was the first dialogue held on the African continent.

The website references the historical presentation of the Dialogues in book form, and is broken out into chapters which can be read in order, or not, depending on the user’s desire. Photographs, video clips and clips from presenters’ presentations bring the dialogue alive.
